Designing a tv-remote that can be produced using injection molding
The main challenge was to understand how to shape and material reacts to different factors when producing.
Issues as release angles, undercuts, seams, snap connections, screw piles, reinforcement ribs and lip grooves all play a factor when creating a producible product. It has taught me to deal with limitations when it comes to shapes and materials
The next time I create a product with similar or higher complexity as this remote I will make sure to take more time calculating and measuring all parts before I build them (digitally). This will minimize error and thus prevent having to spend extra time fixing mistakes.
